A strong insight does not create impact on its own. If it is not communicated in a way that people can understand, remember and act on, it can easily be overlooked.
In this practical course, insight and research professionals will learn how to use generative AI as an editor, challenger, audience proxy and rehearsal partner—while keeping the researcher’s judgement, evidence and voice firmly at the centre.
Starting with an established finding or insight, participants will learn how to shape an audience-focused narrative, choose an appropriate story structure, sharpen the central message and anticipate questions or objections. They will also explore how to adapt the same core story for a presentation, report or stakeholder conversation.
This course complements Storyfinding with AI: From Data to Insight, but is designed to stand alone. No previous course attendance is required.
The course is tool-agnostic. Demonstrations and exercises can be followed using ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Copilot.
Participants will learn to
- Define the audience, decision and action their story needs to serve
- Turn an insight into a focused narrative with a clear through-line
- Choose a story structure suited to the audience and context
- Use AI to explore alternatives, sharpen the message and identify gaps
- Pressure-test the story for clarity, credibility, tone and likely objections
- Adapt the same core story for different stakeholders and formats
- Keep the story grounded in the evidence, authentically human and recognisably their own
