Design Your Own Yard!

Create a plan for your yard using whole systems design principles. A series of 4 collaborative work sessions will guide you through the design process, plant selection, budgeting and making a plan of action. Starting with a look at the flow of energy, water and nutrients in our household ‘systems’, we’ll chart a path towards a more efficient, useful, beautiful and realistic yard for you. This class will build on what you already know and draw on Resilience Design's extensive experience designing, building and maintaining urban homesteads. You’ll leave with a plan for your yard!

Dates: Thursday evenings, February 6 - 27, 2025

Time: 6:00 – 8:00 pm Pacific

Location: Meets Online plus optional individual site visit (in person or via zoom) before or during course

Cost for live online course: $480 per person (or for 2-3 people working on the same site)

Add on a site visit (in person, Portland Metro area) $150 each 

Add on a virtual site visit (via Zoom, great for those in the PNW outside the Portland Metro area) $100 

No-cost tuition available for the online course for BIPOC.

This course is geared towards land stewardship practices for the Pacific Northwest.
