Poverty Awareness Training

This session focuses on practical and effective ways to support individuals and families who are struggling financially.

This is a multiple date session that will be delivered online and in- person. You can attend either the in-person or online session, depending on what works best for you. 

In-person Attendance:  You will receive an email with joining information one week before the session. The in-person sessions will take place across Cheshire and Merseyside. Specific venue details are shown next to the date during ticket selection. 

Online Attendance: The online session will be delivered via Microsoft Teams, a link will be emailed to you a week before the session.

This session is suitable for the following attendees only:

  • Anyone working in health and social care across Cheshire and Merseyside
  • Anyone working in partnership with Champs Public Health Collaborative

At this session you will learn:

  • What poverty is and how it affects individuals and communities across Cheshire and Merseyside
  • Best practice when offering support to people struggling financially
  • Practical tools and resources you can use to support people struggling financially
  • The impact of poverty on the health system across Cheshire and Merseyside
  • How we can design strategic and policy responses to tackle poverty within the health and social care system

There will also be time during the session for discussion and questions

Note: "Buyer information" should include the details of the person making the booking, while "Attendee information" should include the details of the person who will actually attend the training.
