Maximising Household Income Training

This training course will build your knowledge of the social security system, the financial support available to low-income households, and practical ways to help maximise household income

The sessions are delivered via Microsoft Teams, a link will be emailed to you a week before the session.

What you’ll learn:

• A deep understanding of the social security system and how to confidently navigate benefit entitlements.
• How to support individuals and households to build financial resilience through a trauma-informed approach, in line with the Crisis and Resilience Fund guidance.
• How to identify and access national and local financial support for people experiencing financial difficulties or at risk of income shocks.
• How to apply effective approaches to income maximisation that help people build financial resilience.

Who's it for?
It is suitable for staff and volunteers across local authorities, the public sector, education, and the voluntary, faith, community and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector who support people with money worries or advise people on finance and debts. Roles can include:
