This training course will build your knowledge of our social security system and the financial support available, enabling you to help people find and access what they're entitled to
The sessions are delivered via Microsoft Teams, a link will be emailed to you a week before the session.
What you’ll learn:
- A clear understanding of the social security system, to enable practitioners to confidently navigate benefit entitlements
- How to support individuals and households to build financial resilience through a trauma-informed approach, in line with the Crisis and Resilience Fund guidance
- How to identify and access national and local financial support for people struggling financially or at risk of income shocks
- Effective approaches to income maximisation that build financial resilience
Who's it for?
Local government, public sector and VCFSE organisations looking to better understand the types of financial support available in the UK, including the social security system.
