Tackling Poverty with Data Training

This training course will build your skills to analyse, interpret and use poverty data to inform effective strategies and responses to tackling poverty

The sessions are delivered via Microsoft Teams, a link will be emailed to you a week before the session.

What you’ll learn:

• The importance of data in developing effective responses to poverty.
• Recent poverty trends in the UK and what the data tells us about how poverty affects different groups of people.
• How to identify and use tools to gather and interpret poverty data to better understand poverty within communities.
• How to apply essential data analysis skills to interpret poverty data effectively. 
• How to visualise and present poverty data effectively to communicate findings to stakeholders and inform decision-making.

Who's it for?

It is suitable for staff and volunteers across local authorities, the public sector, education, and the voluntary, faith, community and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector who wants to develop their confidence and skills in using poverty data to inform decision making. Roles can include:
