Resourcing Scotland 2026
Resourcing Scotland 2026 is the flagship event for the entire Scottish resource and waste management industry brought to you by CIWM Scotland, REA, RMAS, SESA, and the Local Authority Waste Managers and Officers Network.

Taking place on Thursday 5th November 2026 at the Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh, this dynamic, full-day event will bring together industry professionals to explore the evolving policy landscape shaping Scotland and the UK.
The day will open with an insightful keynote session examining the collective impacts, challenges, and opportunities arising from policies currently being implemented - or on the horizon - followed by a thought-provoking panel debate featuring expert voices from across the sector.
After a networking lunch, the programme will shift into an interactive format with six focused breakout sessions. Delegates will have the opportunity to attend two sessions of their choice, covering key topics including:
- Fire risk and mitigation.
- Upskilling the sector.
- Reuse partnerships.
- Organics.
- Local authority collections.
- Management of residual waste plastics.
As the day transitions into the evening, join us for a relaxed reception accompanied by a live string quartet, creating the perfect setting to connect and unwind.
The event will conclude with an awards ceremony which will celebrate excellence across the industry. Three prestigious awards will be presented:
- Outstanding Young Person of the Year
- Outstanding Team of the Year
- Outstanding Organisation of the Year
