At SI-FAN, we are deeply passionate about supporting the genre filmmaking scene in Scotland. We're proud to be putting on some events that aim to inspire and connect creatives and artists.

Hostile Dimensions and Q&A

We open up with a screening of Hostile Dimensions. A no-budget Sci-Fi horror by Scottish director and writer Graham Hughes, which had a terrific run on the international film festival circuit. And has led him to getting significant budget for his next feature. We will have a Q&A with Graham about how he made his film in the tightest of constraints and experience of getting his film out there. An inspiration to all DIY filmmakers out there.

Pitch It

Working on a genre film project? Looking for people to collaborate with? This is your opportunity to get your project out in the open air and potential to find talent to bring it to life.

Masterclass TBA

We will have an industry professional give a masterclass on their work and in their field on how as a filmmaker we can improve our work.

Drinks

We will then head to a nearby bar for some further informal chats to get to know one another and chat about our favourite films.
