Join us on Thursday 19 March, as we bring church leaders together to pray for our city of Milton Keynes.
As we see God moving in our churches, and across our city, and inspired by these two Bible texts, we're calling church leaders from across the city to dedicate a day to prayer
"There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all." Ephesians 4:4-6
"...if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
We're grateful to be hosted by New Life Church at The Ridgeway Centre, starting at 9.30am and finishing by 3.30pm. The day will include times of prayer as a whole group, as well a choice of breakout prayer sessions themed around different aspects and needs of our city. We'll also ensure you are well fed with some delicious pastries, fruit and drinks, as well as a generous lunch. The event is free, with donations welcome to cover costs.
Our heart is for this event to be truly multi-denominational, placing God at the centre of all we do and allowing His love and grace to unite us in prayer. The prayer will be varied to reflect the different backgrounds and styles we're each used to, and our worship will be Scripture-based to ensure its accessibility to everyone.
We're excited for the day and pray that you, and any key leaders from your churches, will be able to join us.
RESTORE:MK (formerly known as the MK Church Leaders Connect group) is co-ordinated by Steve Wood, Senior Minister at Newport Pagnell Baptist Church. Its purpose is to bring church leaders and influencers together, from across Milton Keynes and the surrounding area, to catch up, pray God's restoration over one another, and seek and pray for God's restoration for our city. Whilst we pray that the work of RESTORE:MK bears fruit in relationships and greater cohesion across the churches in Milton Keynes, its heart is a;lways to facilitate and support, and not to own.
