Calder Quartet
This special performance pairs the innovative Calder Quartet with three-time Grammy Award-winning bass-baritone Dashon Burton.
Formed at the University of Southern California and recipient of the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, the Calder Quartet (Benjamin Jacobson, Tereza Stanislav, Jonathan Moerschel, and Eric Byers) captivates audiences with a broad spectrum of repertoire. Inspired by innovative artist Alexander Calder, they are widely recognized for their insightful commissions of emerging composers alongside definitive interpretations of Beethoven and Bartók.

Hailed as "alight with the spirit of the music" (The Boston Globe), Dashon Burton has established an international career that moves fluidly between the worlds of Bach, spirituals, and the great orchestral tradition. A frequent guest soloist with America’s leading orchestras and a founding member of Roomful of Teeth, Burton brings a noble, rich tone to this dynamic collaboration.
