Are you considering becoming a member of the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association? Are you wondering what the process of becoming a member is and what the qualifying exam looks like? Would you like to know how to become a Student Member? If you answered yes to one or all questions, we would like to invite you to our CPCA virtual Info Sessions via Zoom. At each session you will learn about the CPCA, the steps and benefits of becoming a member, future employment, FACTBC, and regulation in each province.
Registration is required and closes 15 minutes prior to the start of the event. A Zoom link will be emailed to all registrants at four different times; after registration, 3 days prior, 1 day prior, and 10 minutes prior to the start of each session.
WHO CAN ATTEND:
- Rhodes students enrolled into our Life Coach Diploma program, Wellness Counsellor Diploma program, Professional Counsellor Diploma program, part-time Life Skills Coaching Certificate program, part-time Life Skills Counselling Certificate program, full-time Life Coaching certificate program, Professional Integrative Nutrition Diploma program, and Northern Indigenous Counselling Diploma program.
DID YOU KNOW:
Our Professional Counsellor Diploma (PCD) program graduates are eligible for membership with the CPCA as a Registered Professional Counsellor Candidate (RPC-C) and prepares them to write the CPCA qualifying exam. Also, upon completion of our PCD program, graduates are given 12 months of complimentary postgraduate supervision to aid the start of their counselling practice while working with an organization or within their own business.

Students enrolled into our Professional Counsellor Diploma program are eligible apply for a Student Membership with the CPCA. If you apply for Student Membership within 6 months of your program (within semester 1 & 2), your qualifying exam is FREE. If you apply after the first 6 months of your program (after semester 2), then your fee for the qualifying exam is reduced by 50% so you only pay $150. These are two great initiatives that the CPCA wants to share as a way of welcoming our students.
