Let's Converse: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI)
Thursday, August 20th
2:00–3:30 PM PT
All Students in any Rhodes program is welcome to join us for an open and engaging conversation about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in counselling, coaching, healthcare, and everyday life.
Rather than a formal presentation, this session invites participants to gather, reflect, ask questions, and explore perspectives together. Through meaningful dialogue, we'll consider how diversity, equity, and inclusion influence the way we connect with others, build relationships, and support the communities we serve.
Together, we'll:
Engage in thoughtful conversation in a respectful and welcoming environment.
Share perspectives and learn from the experiences of others.
Explore how DEI can strengthen compassionate, ethical, and client-centred practice.
Reflect on the role inclusion plays in our personal and professional lives.
Connect with fellow students through open discussion and curiosity.
There are no right or wrong answers—just an opportunity to come together, listen, contribute, and see where the conversation takes us.
Whether you're new to these conversations or have been exploring DEI for years, everyone is welcome. Bring your curiosity, an open mind, and a willingness to engage in meaningful dialogue.
