Nestled in a picturesque setting, Starfest invites friends and families of Stardens to embark on a journey through a diverse range of musical genres, including folk, blues, indie, pop, and rock. Each performance at this captivating event is carefully curated to delight parents and children alike, creating a shared love for music that transcends generations. As the sun sets, families and friends can gather under a starlit sky and set up their cozy camping spots, transforming the festival grounds into a vibrant community of tents and laughter.
Ticket Options
Under 16's are FREE! To keep things simple there is two ticket type is available (weekend admission and Saturday admission) which allows you the following:
- Admission of one adult per ticket
- Free car parking
- Free camping*
- One free drink & meal**
- Free children's activities (treasure hunt, air clay modelling, bouncy castle, face painting)
- Free family activities (yoga workshop, music workshop, sports day)
Festival theme
To add further entertainment to your weekend we encourage all to embrace the medieval theme. Little ones can let their imaginations run wild as they don their medieval fancy dress, stepping into a world of knights and princesses, where dreams come to life. Prizes will be offered to the best dressed adults and children.
Continuing the theme, various activities will be on offer including a thrilling treasure hunt, engaging neighbours, families, and friends in an adventurous quest for hidden gems scattered throughout the festival grounds. Laughter and bonding abound during the lively sports day, where adults and children can cheer each other on and experience inflatable jousting, lawn darts, tug of war, quoits, sack race and much more, forging unforgettable memories of friendly competition.

For those seeking relaxation and inner harmony, Starfest offers a soothing yoga session tailored for families, encouraging a sense of togetherness and mindfulness. Meanwhile, aspiring musicians can participate in interactive workshops led by talented artists, uncovering the secrets behind crafting beautiful melodies and nurturing their own musical talents.
Family/Children's activities
Children's faces will light up with joy as face painters transform them into fantastical creatures and characters. The bouncy castle, a centrepiece of excitement, will have little ones bouncing with delight.
Starfest also embraces the spirit of creativity, with air dry clay workshops allowing families to shape and mould their own works of art, fostering imagination and artistic expression.
Food & Drink
Indulge in a variety of delicious culinary delights with a selection of pizzas, burgers, hot dogs, couscous and salads (available Saturday evening meal time) ensuring that every member of the family can savour their favourite flavours. A refreshing selection of hot drinks, soft drinks, cocktails, wine, and locally crafted beer, ale and cider will be available from the bar. Breakfast options will also be available Saturday and Sunday morning with a selection of bread, cake, jam and croissants.

We are returning to the roots of trade at Starfest and will be adopting a currency of beans. Yes, you read that correctly! Starfest will be utilising its own currency. On arrival we will provide you with a bean bag containing beans of different values (1x £2, 1x £1, 4x 50p). A 'Stardens bank' will offer more beans in exchange for cash/contactless payments, allowing you to make additional purchases of food/drink from the bar.

FAQ
Can I purchase tickets at the gate?
For security and to keep track on the number of people attending, all tickets must be purchased in advanced. There will be no ticket sales at the gate.
Am I allowed to bring my own food and drink?
You may bring your own food; however, the event licensing only permits the consumption of alcohol that we have sold. Food and drink will be available at the bar (free squash all weekend).
Is there an age restriction for the event?
Children and adults of all ages are welcome to Starfest, however, all U18’s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. We will be using the Challenge 25 policy throughout the event for the purchase of alcohol and recommend all over 18’s to bring proof of ID as this may be required at the bar and entry gate.
How can I travel to Starfest?
A car park will be available free of charge at Starfest. All vehicles are left at your own risk. Stardens is a short walk from the centre of Newent and buses are available to Newent from Hereford, Gloucester, and Ledbury. We advise you check bus timetables before travelling to avoid disappointment.
What items are forbidden at Starfest?
Any items that could be used as a weapon or injure others, disposable barbeques, drones, fireworks, illegal substances and petroleum-spirit burners.
Is there camping?
Yes, there is designated camping area (weekend ticket holder only). All personal items/belongings are left at your own risk.
How will I receive my ticket(s)?
We will not be posting tickets. Your ticket(s) will be available in the form of an e-ticket after you have completed a successful purchase at the checkout, this should be emailed to you providing you have entered your contact details correctly. You can print your e-ticket(s) yourself at home or present them on a mobile device at the gate. Is it important that the ticket barcode is clearly visible/displayed to scan. One ticket allows entry for one adult, tickets can only be scanned once.
Are tickets refundable/transferable?
Unfortunately, tickets are not refundable or transferable.
Can I bring my dog?
Friendly dogs are welcome; however, we request that dogs are always kept on a lead and owners adhere to responsible ownership practices.
