There is lots of time for exploration, movement & curiosity

These small-group sessions support early development, bonding and joyful connection through music, movement and sensory play.

  • Each 45-minute session includes:
    • Early years music & song
    • Movement and rhythm
    • Sensory exploration
  • Classes are led by a qualified music educator and are relaxed and welcoming
  • Parents stay with their child throughout

Focus: Self-control and rhythm.

  • Impulse Control (Stop/Go): Games like "Freeze Dance" or instruments that stop on a cue. This is a foundational executive function skill.
  • Gross Motor Skills: Crossing the "midline" (e.g., reaching a shaker from the left hand to the right side) which is crucial for later skills like writing and dressing.
  • Social Mimicry: At this age, toddlers learn by watching peers. Music groups provide the first "classroom" experience where they learn to take turns with instruments.
  • Confidence & Autonomy: Giving them "choice" songs (e.g., "should we shake the bells fast or slow?") builds early decision-making confidence

Drawing on approaches informed by Kindermusik, Orff, and Irish music education practices, the class is designed to support connection & relaxation.

Music in the early months can support:

  1. early brain development and neural connections
  2. language and listening skills
  3. sensory awareness and coordination
  4. bonding and secure attachment
  5. social confidence for both babies and parents.

There are no expectations and no pressure — just come as you are.
