Practical Skills for Soundbath Practitioners in Schools
Practical Skills for Soundbath Practitioners in Schools
For Sound Therapists or Similar qualifications
1-Day CPD Workshop
Working with children in a school setting is very different from running a soundbath for adults.
A 45-minute soundbath that works beautifully with adults may simply not work for a class of 25 energetic 7-year-olds — and that’s where practical skills, flexibility and a few well-tested tricks can make all the difference.
This one-day CPD workshop (presented by Kristina, a Primary teacher) is designed for people with relevant experience in sound therapy, sound baths, music, teaching, education, childcare or working with children, who want to confidently bring sound-based relaxation and wellbeing practices into schools.
What you'll learn
This is a practical, hands-on day focused on what actually works with children.
We’ll explore:
- How to adapt soundbaths for primary and post-primary students
- What to do when children have short attention spans
- Practical strategies for groups who simply cannot sit through a 45-minute soundbath
- Working inclusively with children with additional needs
- How to structure shorter, more engaging sound experiences
- Adapting your approach for different ages and developmental stages
- How to introduce sound, instruments and relaxation without losing the group
- Practical tips and tricks for managing groups
- How to adapt your existing soundbath skills specifically for the school environment
- Working with teachers and understanding the school environment
- How to develop a one-day school visit into a longer 2–3 day programme
- Linking in with the curriculum (SPHE, Music, RE)
- How to extend the session
Your CPD Booklet
You’ll receive a specially created Soundbaths in Schools practical booklet, packed with practical ideas, activities, strategies and resources that you can refer back to when planning your own school sessions.
Learn from real-world experience
Kristina brings together her experience as a qualified teacher, soundbath practitioner and music educator, with years of experience working with children, including children with additional needs.
This workshop is about sharing the practical knowledge that doesn't always make it into a sound therapy training course — including how to adapt when your carefully planned session isn't working, how to keep children engaged and how to make your work valuable to schools.
Turn one day into a longer contract
We’ll also look at the business side of working with schools — including how to approach schools, demonstrate the value of your work and structure a one-day soundbath visit into a potential 2–3 day programme.
You’ll leave with practical strategies you can use immediately, a resource booklet to take away and a clearer understanding of how to confidently deliver sound-based sessions in primary and post-primary settings.
Suitable for practitioners with relevant experience. This is not an introductory sound therapy course.
