Clitheroe Natural Flood Management Citizen Science Water Quality Sampling Day

When and where? Saturday 8th February, 10.00am- 4.30pm at Ribble Rivers Trust Office, c/o Heidelberg Materials, Ribblesdale Works, West Bradford Rd, Clitheroe, BB7 4QF

Who can join? Anyone! Of any age and any level of previous experience (or inexperience)!

What is involved? Help Ribble Rivers Trust collect water quality data at our Natural Flood Management sites. We need to capture valuable baseline data before any work begins so we can see the benefits that natural flood management has on our rivers.

The day:

• Refreshments from 10 am.
• Indoor training session in the morning (starting at 10.15 am).
• Afternoon river surveys: each group will collect a water sample and carry out a simple habitat assessment.
• After sampling, we will come back together at the Ribble Rivers Trust Office to share our results.
