Come join us on the 12th February for a guided walk around Worston and Mearley Brook.
Event Description: Join us for a 3-mile walk starting from Worston. The route will pass through fields and along Worston and Mearley Brook, providing a chance to enjoy the local scenery. During the walk, we'll visit our work on our EA Natural Flood Management site.
Location: We will be meeting outside the Calf's Head Pub in Worston, Clitheroe BB7 1QA. The what3words location is cleanest.quilt.stung and grid reference 53.880512 , -2.354052. We will be setting off promptly at 10am and will finish by at the latest of 12:30 pm.
Difficulty: This walk will take approximately 2 hrs, and we will break to take photos and talk about key points of the project. The route is fairly flat and easy to traverse. We will be going through fields and over styles, and the paths can be very muddy, so attendees will need to have reasonable mobility and walking boots are recommended. Due to live stock in fields we are asking for no dogs.
