Guided Walk @ Hodder Way Stage 1

Come join us on Monday 6th July for the first stage of the Hodder Way! 

Event Description:  Join Ribble Rivers Trust on the first of a series of point to point guided walks to complete the Hodder Way! The first stage will be from Hurst Green to Bashall Barn, taking in views of the Ribble River, surrounding rolling hills and the River Hodder.

Location: We will be meeting at a the car park of Bashall Barn, Twitter Ln, BB7 3LQ. The what3words location is aquatics.stays.majority and grid reference SD 71179 42140. Please note, the car park is small, if possible please car share. Please meet for 9:15 am at the car park, we will be getting a minibus promptly at 9:30 am to arrive in Hurst Green before 10 am to begin our walk.

Difficulty:  7.6 mi (12.2 km) | 623 ft (190 m) ascent - This walk will take approximately 4 hrs and is moderately difficult with section of steep decline and small section of incline, mostly the walk will be along flat paths following the river banks.

What to bring: Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather, as well as suitable footwear such as walking boots or walking trainers. To help reduce the risk of bites, cuts and stings we also ask attendees to wear long sleeved tops and trousers. Please also bring lunch as we will stop to refuel along the way.

Important information: To help cover the costs to run the event, we are asking for a contribution of £15 per person for the event. Once you have signed up, you will receive all of this information in a handy email. It also means we have all of your contact details so that, in the rare event that we have to cancel the event, we will be able to notify you via email.

Facilities: Public toilets are available in Hurst Green and local shop for refreshments.
