Come join us on Monday 20th July for the third stage of the Hodder Way!
Event Description: Join Ribble Rivers Trust on the third stage of our series of point to point guided walks to complete the Hodder Way! In the third stage we will be walking from Whitewell to Newton-in-Bowland, closely following the River Hodder upstream pass Dunsop Bridge, crossing farmland and then rejoining the River Hodder into Newton-in-Bowland.
Location: We will be meeting at Newton-in-Bowland car park, BB7 3EB. The what3words location is likening.universe.before and grid reference SD 69846 50645, if possible please car share. We will be getting a minibus promptly at 9:30 am to arrive at Whitewell before 10 am to begin our walk.
Difficulty: 5.3 mi (8.5 km) | 350 ft (107 m) ascent - This walk will take approximately 3 hrs and is moderately difficult with a slight incline throughout the day, and two shorter sections of steep incline/decline.

What to bring: Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather, as well as suitable footwear such as walking boots or walking trainers. To help reduce the risk of bites, cuts and stings we also ask attendees to wear long sleeved tops and trousers. Please also bring lunch as we will stop to refuel along the way.
Important information: To help cover the costs to run the event, we are asking for a contribution of £15 per person for the event. Once you have signed up, you will receive all of this information in a handy email. It also means we have all of your contact details so that, in the rare event that we have to cancel the event, we will be able to notify you via email.
Facilities: Toilets are at the Inn of Whitewell, but these may not be open at the start of the walk. There are toilets at Dunsop Bridge, approximately half way on our walk and there is the Parkers Arms in Newton-in-Bowland.
