Come join us on Monday 3rd August for the fifth and final stage of the Hodder Way!
Event Description: Join Ribble Rivers Trust on the fifth and final stage of our series of point to point guided walks to complete the Hodder Way! In the final stage we will be walking from Gisburn Forest Park to the source, were we will make our way along the edges of Stocks Reservoir, crossing farmland, stone tracks and section of road walking with views across the Forest of Bowland. Before the final stretch heading across the moor to find the source of the River Hodder!
Location: We will be meeting at Gisburn Forest main car park, BB7 4TS, please note this is a pay and display car park. The what3words location is devoured.section.depths and grid reference SD 74483 55731, if possible please car share. We will be walking from the main car park, setting of promptly at 10 am to arrive at the source and to the pick up point for approximately 2:30 pm for our minibus back to the main car park for approximately 3 pm.
Difficulty: 7.55 mi (12.1 km) | 1379 ft (420 m) ascent - This walk will take approximately 4 hrs and is difficult with multiple sections of incline totaling 420 m (equivalent to walking up Pendle hill from Barely).

What to bring: Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather, as well as suitable footwear such as walking boots or walking trainers. To help reduce the risk of bites, cuts and stings we also ask attendees to wear long sleeved tops and trousers. Please also bring lunch as we will stop to refuel along the way.
Important information: To help cover the costs to run the event, we are asking for a contribution of £15 per person for the event. Once you have signed up, you will receive all of this information in a handy email. It also means we have all of your contact details so that, in the rare event that we have to cancel the event, we will be able to notify you via email.
Facilities: Toilets are available at the visitor centre at Gisburn Forest Park at the beginning and end of the walk.
