Guided Walk @ Barnoldswick

Come join us on the 27th August for a guided walk around the countryside of Barnoldswick.

Event Description: Join us for a 6.5-mile walk, beginning in Victory Park at the edge of Barnoldswick, this route heads out through farmland towards Bracewell. Curving south to Brogden, the route then follows a short section of the Roman road before returning into Barnoldswick. Expect scenic rural views and peaceful footpaths. 

Location: We will be meeting at Victoria Park car park, BB18 5FA. The what3words location is reassured.fitter.agrees and grid reference SD 87857 47331. We will be setting off promptly at 10am and will finish by at the latest of 2pm. 

Difficulty:  This walk will take approximately 4 hrs and moderately difficult with some sections of stairs and incline. Mainly through fields and farmland with a short section along residential streets. Some fields may be a little boggy after rainfall.

What to bring: Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather, as well as suitable footwear like walking boots, walking trainers, or wellies. To help reduce the risk of bites, cuts and stings we also ask attendees to wear long sleeved tops and trousers. Please also bring refreshments such as water, and any snacks, we will stop for lunch around half way.
