Richmond Cricket Club, TW9 2AZ
Description
Richmond Cricket Club is delighted to offer 6 weeks of Summer Cricket Camps for players aged 4 years - 15 years old. We operate both hard ball and soft ball training and welcome girls and boys of all abilities.
During the camps we will cover all aspects of cricket (see below) and with the use of our bowling machines and plenty of coaching aids, your child will gain some valuable tips to make it a beneficial camp for all.
In the last few years we have made sure these camps are very important for your child's development. In return we would like them to firstly enjoy themselves, but also work hard and respect their colleagues and coaches.
- Fun warm up games.
- Fielding drills and competitions.
- Bowling and batting drills.
- Nets and net test matches
- One day and T20 format, covering different options with bat and ball. Developing new shots and deliveries.
- Outfield matches.
- Centre wicket nets
- Slip and slide (when the weather is hot and Sunny)
TIMING: The camps will run 10:00 - 16:00 (full day) with the option to do half a day (10:00 - 12:30) or (13:30 - 16:00).
PRIVATE COACHING SESSIONS - Before Camp 8.30am - 9:30am or After Camp 4:30pm - 6:30pm. (Half hour or 1 hour slots) - Please book any sessions with Adam on doc.richmondcricketclub@gmail.com or 07507884882
COACHES - We will be in orange tops so please look out for us when you arrive and we will direct you in the right direction so you know exactly where to go.
KIT - Players should bring their own cricket kit. If you don't have hard ball kit but want to play hard ball then boys must have their own box and box briefs. A local cricket or sports shop will sell them. We do have some kit to go around but the box is essential. Please also wear suitable sports clothing and trainers.
SOFT BALL PLAYERS SIGN UP - Soft ball players will need to head to the scoreboard near the pavilion to sign in and do not need to bring any cricket equipment as we have everything they will need. They are more than welcome to bring their own cricket bat if that is a preference.
HARD BALL PLAYERS SIGN UP - Hard ball players will need to head to the cricket nets to sign in.
LUNCH AND SNACKS - Players should bring their own food and drink and we recommend a snack for morning and afternoon break. The bar and canteen will be open all day so please make sure your child has some money to purchase a drink if needed. There will be a Kids menu which can be ordered at morning break. PLAYERS MAY NOT LEAVE THE SITE AT LUNCHTIME BY THEMSELVES.
WET WEATHER PLAN. The club house has rooms available to either play some soft ball games or TVs to watch the Ashes! (Come on England!!). If the weather is really bad and the forecast doesn't look promising, then we may need to cancel that day's camp. It is therefore important we have your emergency contact details so we can contact you with plenty of notice. A full refund or credit for future camps will be available if a full day or half day is cancelled due to bad weather.
SIBLING DISCOUNTS. If you are booking for more than one child, then please let us know and we will provide you with a sibling discount code. We require separate bookings for each child so we have all the required information.
The camps have been a great success over the years and we are very much looking forward to the Summer camps.
We look forward to seeing your child soon.
