Cycling Tour of Richmond upon Thames

A guided cycle tour of Richmond and the surrounding area. A family-friendly event run by Richmond Cycling Campaign, taking in some of the highlights of our borough, including Richmond, Bushy Park, Hampton Court Palace and Richmond Park.

This event is being organised as part of the series of events commemorating Richmond's international partnerships with Fontainebleau & Konstanz.  See the Reaffirmation 2025 website for details of other activities.

Our planned route across the borough

The ride will start from and end at Richmond Green.  The ride will include a refreshments stop at the halfway point at Bushy Park's Pheasantry cafe.

Meeting Point

We will meet on Little Green, to the northwest of Richmond Green and immediately opposite Richmond Theatre.  We will set off at 10:00 am following a briefing from our ride leader. 

Route & Bicycle Hire

You can also view and download the route in a number of formats from Strava.  The Strava app will also allow you to follow the route on your phone.

To accommodate our international guests who may not have a bicycle with them, Lime is kindly making available a limited number of bicycles to attendees.  Select Lime bike hire when choosing your tickets to register your interest in hiring a bike for the event.  Conditions apply and a ticket is no guarantee of access to a bicycle.

Alternatively, standard and electric bikes are available for hire from Blazing Saddles at Richmond Riverside.  You'll need a photo ID to hire bikes from them, available on an hourly or daily rate.
