Rest at Ridley (Retreat Day)

📣 A valuable chance for those in Children, Youth and Sports ministry to seek out Rest. Taking time to Rest at Ridley with God and with each other.

After our wonderful retreat day in 2024, we are going to host another one this year! Rest at Ridley is a one-day retreat for children, youth, and sports ministers, at Ridley Hall in Cambridge. We want to do what we can to champion and cheer you on. We have hope - because of the great ministries we see our friends, colleagues and students doing in this field, and more importantly, because of the God we worship! As we move forward in mission and ministry, we recognise the need to create moments to retreat and be with our creator. For this reason, we call our retreat day, Rest at Ridley. To step away from the busyness of life and ministry, to spend time in the beautiful and prayerful grounds of Ridley Hall, to rest with other people who understand the joy and challenges of ministry and to give yourself permission to Rest...

We have structured the day around services to meet and worship, and to hear God's word. In between, there will be opportunities to connect with others, eat good food, and to take time out in prayer and reflection. Our youth ministry friend, (Rev’d Dr!) Paul Beautyman will be leading us in our retreat over the morning. Paul brings years of experience and wisdom and is passionate about supporting those in ministries with children and young people.

We know that it will be a great day, and we would love you to join us in coming together, taking time to Rest at Ridley, remembering whose we are, and why our mission and ministries are so important. Please do come and bring your colleagues along too!

12:15 - 1:00 PM Cafeteria Lunch in the Dining Hall
1:00 - 3:00 PM Self-directed retreat time
3:00 PM Closing Eucharist Service

🎟️ Booking your place

Tickets are £35 per person (£30 early bird discount until Monday 23rd March 2026) and include excellent food and refreshments through the day from our Executive Head Chef Howie and his team. To book your place click the 'Book now' button on this page. During checkout you will be given the opportunity to tell us about any special dietary requirements that our Chef should know. Retreat places are limited, so do book your place early. Bookings close at midnight on Tuesday 12th May 2026.

🅿️ Parking

Car parking is very restricted at Ridley, and we are unfortunately not able to offer parking on the day. We recommend using Cambridge's excellent Park & Ride service. For more information on this and off-site parking, see our Parking page.

Requests for a disabled parking place: If you have mobility issues and would like to request one of a limited number of disabled parking places on site, there will be an opportunity to do this during checkout when you buy tickets. Please note that a place cannot be guaranteed but we will contact you to confirm before the day.
