The List of 34 by Joe Staton - Staged Reading

The List of 34 is a new historical drama based on the extraordinary true story of Albert Göring, the younger brother of Nazi leader Hermann Göring.

While Hermann became one of the most powerful men in the Third Reich, Albert took a very different path — using his family name and influence to help Jews and political prisoners, defy Nazi officials, and work against the regime from within.

After the war, however, Albert finds himself in Allied custody. To his interrogators, the name Göring seems to tell them everything they need to know. Albert must convince them that the brother of Hermann Göring could also have been his opposite.

Presented as a staged reading at The Rat NYC, The List of 34 is a story about heroism, family, reputation, and what it means to do the right thing when everything around you is wrong.
