Safeguarding Adult’s Week with Andy’s Mans Club

This week is Safeguarding Adult’s Week and we’re so pleased to be joined by Andy’s Mans Club to speak to us about the amazing work they do in supporting mental health and preventing suicide in adults.

Male suicide is the biggest killer of men under 54 and there still remains a stigma around male mental health. Andy’s Mans Club aims to combat this through peer led groups who come together across the county each week to speak openly about their mental health in a judgement free and non-clinical environment.

Michael, from one of our local Andy’s Mans Clubs will give us a greater insight in to the support service and how it works through statistics, personal stories and videos, and will be happy to answer any questions too. This is a great opportunity to raise awareness of the challenges and stigma around male mental health and how you can take this back to your clubs to support your adult members.
