FREE Step Outdoors Stay & Play Sessions for Byker Families!
Our Step Outdoors programme gives Byker families opportunities to play, learn and spend time together outdoors. The sessions help young children build independence, confidence, problem-solving abilities and healthy, active habits — all while having fun and enjoying nature.

The sessions will be held every Wednesday from 10:30 to 12:00 at The Lighthouse Project on the following dates:
- Wednesday 28th October
- Wednesday 4th November
- Wednesday 11th November
- Wednesday 18th November
- Wednesday 25th November
- Wednesday 2nd December
- Wednesday 9th December
Important information:
Our step outdoors sessions are child led, messy play style sessions, giving space and time for children and their families to play outside together, supporting bonding, learning and development.
Venue: The Lighthouse Project, Saint Michael’s Mount, Byker, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE6 2FT.
How to get there: The venue is just off the A193, around a 10-minute walk from Byker Metro. Buses 1, 12, 22, 39 and 62 stop nearby on Shields Road and surrounding streets.

*These sessions are for children under 5 who must be accompanied by an adult at all times, older siblings are welcome.
