On February 26, our guest presenter will be Justine Huxley, on the theme of Re-awakening our sacred bond with Earth. Justine co-founded the Kincentric Leadership project, was previously director of St Ethelburga’s Centre, and authored Generation Y, sprituality and social change. She is passionate about awakening humanity to a deeper sense of our kinship with all life, and has led many programmes on spiritual ecology, radical resilience and communion with the wild.

These are times of crisis and possibilities: we need to find a sense of meaning and direction for ourselves, in our communities, and as part of a larger movement. We are gathering online to meet others who are seeking inner and outer resilience in these times, and want to share in a wider effort to convene and build community in the UK. Each month, we have a guest presenter who will offer us insights and guide us in a process, followed by time for discussion as a group.

While this event is free or on a donation basis, there is a limited number of spots. If you want to attend, book your today and invite a friend to come along!

Justine Recommends:

In order to make the most of our time together, we have asked Justine to share some fodder for thought and reflection. If you can, ahead of our time together, do check out these two videos:

  • Could you ever guess a bat sounds so beautiful? This talk features Karen Bakker, professor at the University of British Columbia, in conversation with Michael John Gorman. Karen was on a mission to decode the sounds of animals and plants beyond the scope of human hearing.
  • The essence of Spiritual Ecology by Emmanuel Vaughan-Lee, a filmmaker and founder-executive editor of Emergence Magazine who leads retreats and workshops on sufism and spiritual ecology worldwide. This is a recording of his contribution to the conference on spiritual ecology held by Saint Ethelburga's Centre for Reconciliation and Peace in 2024.
