Block printing workshop with free flowing chai

The workshop introduces participants to the traditional art of Indian block printing, guiding them through its history, cultural significance, and distinctive techniques. Attendees will learn how to use hand-carved wooden blocks and apply repeating patterns onto fabric. Demonstrations cover key skills such as aligning prints, controlling pressure, and layering colours to create clean, vibrant designs.

Each participant will design and print their own Cushion covers, experimenting with different motifs and colour combinations to produce a unique piece. The session encourages creativity while building confidence with the tools and process, and participants will leave not only with a finished cushion cover, but also a practical understanding of block printing that they can continue to explore at home.
