Join us on International Holocaust Remembrance Day for a book talk with author Jai Chakrabarti on his debut novel, A Play for the End of the World, inspired by the true story of a play written by an Indian poet and performed in a Warsaw Ghetto orphanage before the residents are deported to Treblinka. The book follows the lives of two survivors from that orphanage and their journey to India in the 1970s where the play is being performed in the context of another historical moment of political upheaval. A Play for the End of the World explores themes of memory, trauma, love, friendship, and art as an act of resistance.
Jai will be joined in conversation with Ritualwell’s Hila Ratzabi. This event will be recorded and available to those who register.
