River Arrow & Alne Revival Launch

Join us for the free launch of River Arrow & Alne Revival CIC (RAAR), an emerging community initiative bringing people together to restore and celebrate our local rivers.

Across the country, communities are stepping up to protect their rivers from raw sewage discharges, chemical pollution, drought, flooding and habitat loss. This launch marks the start of Alcester and the surrounding parishes joining that growing movement, turning local pride in our rivers into action so that future generations can enjoy healthier waterways, richer wildlife and stronger, happier communities.

Whether you're part of the muddy-welly brigade, the arty crew, the one with three diaries who never forgets a birthday, or the person who won’t stop talking about causes you care about - whoever you are, your rivers need you!

There are many ways to take part: practical river work, arts and community projects, wellbeing sessions, education, fundraising, finance and communications. Whatever your skills or interests, there’s a place for you in this shared effort to care for the rivers that run through our lives.

• Inspiring talks from community and conservation speakers, including:

 Ed Noyes, Conservation Officer, Wild Trout Trust
 Dr Geoff Sallis, Founder, Safe Avon Network
 Cllr Michael Chapman-Pincher, Founder, Sister Rivers Initiative, and Pershore Town Councillor
 Dr Mary Manandhar, Founder, River Hope, and applied anthropologist
• Discussion and idea-sharing
• Refreshments and friendly conversation
• Displays on river health and community action
• Opportunities to volunteer or collaborate in many different ways

This event is free and open to all.

All donations go directly to River Arrow & Alne Revival CIC (Company No. 16696814), a not-for-profit community interest company supporting local river restoration, community engagement and nature-based projects.
