Polaroid Emulsion Lift Technique by Riya Panwar

This workshop is an exploration of materiality, where participants will create 3 to 4 emulsion lifts on various materials, fruits, and ephemeral surfaces. We will gather to experiment, discuss, and take our work home to observe how it grows, changes, and evolves over time.

Riya has been working with the Polaroid Emulsion Lift technique for over four years. She will share her process through a demonstration and provide continuous assistance throughout the workshop as participants explore the technique.

No prior knowledge is needed - curiosity and patience are all that’s required. Emulsion lift can be tricky and equally fun, so participants are encouraged to experiment, share, and be patient with the process as they create their work together.

Workshop Details

The workshop will be conducted in two groups on 14th November, as each batch can accommodate only 6 to 7 participants. Once tickets are sold, Riya will reach out to everyone with their allocated timings. Please keep your day free for the workshop and be open to the assigned time slot.

The workshop fee covers all materials. Each participant will receive 4 Polaroid films to create their emulsion lifts.
