Welcome to Robert Burns' Ellisland Farm. It was in this inspiring cottage next to the River Nith that Robert Burns' genius flourished and where he wrote Tam o Shanter, Auld Lang Syne and many more of his famous songs and poems.

Ellisland Farm is now a cherished museum in Dumfries & Galloway that houses a wonderful collection of Burns treasures.

Visitors can step back in time to 1788 and follow in Burns’ footsteps as they explore the rooms where he  lived and wrote.  The orchard is a perfect place to relax after your visit, there are beautiful walks along the river, and of course, you’ll want to visit our Gift Shop which stocks a unique range of gifts and books.
