RTC was founded in late 2014 by a group of 9 friends who all met whilst performing in Durham University’s Musicals society; ‘DULOG’.

DULOG prided itself on bringing together people with a passion for musical theatre. A passion that allowed them to produce shows to a near-professional standard. And a passion many haven’t had a chance to use in recent years.

Whilst a large proportion of that group went on to pursue professional acting careers, there was always a group of alumni in London who chose other ways of life.

Although RTC was founded by Durham members, and Durham alumni make up a large proportion of our company, since 2022 we have taken steps to open up the society to like-minded individuals looking to dust off their tap shoes, warm up their vocal chords and start taking to the stage once more.
