Roll Up Networking

Ever wanted to network without the pressure of thinking of things to talk about?

Fancy meeting some new people or old friends, and learn about the exciting world of tabletop games?

Come along for an evening of drinks, food and fun with your fellow techies, local businesses and start-uppers.

We'll have a range of different games for you to try, from easy-going social games to stab-each-other-in-the-back games! They'll all be nice and quick to learn, and we'll be on hand to help you if you get stuck.

• 5:30pm - Grab a drink, pizza, chat
• 6:00pm - Welcome, intro to the games
• 6:15pm - pick a game you fancy and get seated
• Halfway through, we'll have some time for networking and then another selection of games to play
• 9pm finish

FAQs

Do I need to know how to play board games?
No! Our own volunteers will be joining every game, so they can show you how to play.

Is it actually networking?
Yes! You'll meet creative and tech industry people, entrepreneurs and business owners, and other lovely folks.

Can I bring someone along?
Yes! Just get them a ticket and we'll see you there.

Can I join in without a ticket?
You'll need a ticket so we can make sure we have enough games for everyone to play. We usually have a few tickets available to buy on the door.

I have an allergy/intolerance/other dietary requirement, can you cater for me?
Please let us know in advance and we'll have something available for you.

Are the games difficult to play, or super nerdy?
No! We will show you a range of different games but we hand-pick ones that we think you'll have the most fun with.

Can I choose what game to play?
We will provide a handful of games, and you'll get to pick which one to play - it's first-come-first-served though, so if there's something you fancy playing, you'll need to be quick - or negotiate with other attendees to swap, of course!

I'm worried/nervous about going to a new event on my own, should I be?
Definitely not! If you're nervous about coming, grab a ticket and let us know by private message. We'll have someone available to greet you and introduce you to some of the other attendees. Everyone's friendly and we want everyone to have a great time and meet some new friends and contacts.
