Taiko is Japanese ensemble drumming and incorporates drumming patterns, choreographed movements and energy shouts to create powerful and exciting performances. Taiko is accessible for anyone and really fun! Join Humber Taiko for an exciting session to try this for yourself! Places are extremely limited.

10.45 - 11.30am Junior Taiko for ages 7-11

Our Junior Taiko sessions are especially for children aged 7-11. These sessions will teach the basics of Taiko drumming including information about the instruments & equipment, how to stand and move as well as techniques and skills for playing the drums. We also learn how to play a simple piece together!

Children take part without a parent/guardian, but you are welcome to stay in the building. If leaving the site, children must be collected at 11.30am.

For those who are really serious about Taiko - there is always more to learn, plenty of progression routes to refine and develop skills as well as learning new challenging pieces and different styles of playing. Find out more www.humbertaiko.org or @HumberTaiko
