Community Taiko (ages 12+ and adults)

Taiko is Japanese ensemble drumming and incorporates drumming patterns, choreographed movements and energy shouts to create powerful and exciting performances. Taiko is accessible for anyone and really fun! Join Humber Taiko for an exciting session to try this for yourself! Places are extremely limited.

11.30am - 12.30pm Community session for all aged 12+

Our Community sessions are aimed at mixed age groups, age 12+ and adults. These sessions will teach the basics of Taiko drumming including information about the instruments & equipment, how to stand and move as well as techniques and skills for playing the drums. We also learn how to play a simple piece together!

For those who are really serious about Taiko - there is always more to learn, plenty of progression routes to refine and develop skills as well as learning new challenging pieces and different styles of playing. Find out more www.humbertaiko.org or @HumberTaiko
