Draw the Arbo: An Evening of Creativity in Nature
"I was born in Kent Street about 10 minutes walk from the Arboretum. As a kid the Abbey and Arbo was my playground. In later years it became my sobering early morning walk to work. Throughout all the years of living in the area the Arboretum has always provided inspiration. The bends, twists, hidden vistas and planting of Edward Milner’s masterpiece can really get the creative juices flowing." — Phil Bowman, Painter & Owner of Gallery at St Martins
We invite you to join us to slow down, observe, and capture this local treasure through art.
We are thrilled to be joined by local painter Phil Bowman, who will guide us through an evening of creativity. Whether you are an experienced artist or haven't picked up a pencil in years, this session is all about connecting with nature, observing the landscape with fresh eyes, and finding your own creative voice in the heart of our local history.
This is a relaxed, supportive session dedicated to creativity in the great outdoors. Come along, find a quiet corner, and let the Arbo inspire your next sketch. For adults. Spaces are limited for this exclusive evening workshop.
Presented in collaboration with resident-led East Alive as part of Rooted Arts Creative Nature programme, funded by Evan Cornish Grassroots Fund through Lincolnshire Community Foundation.
