Moorland Make Club: Free Summer Family Creativity!

Looking for fun, free, and creative activities for the kids this summer? Moorland Make Club is every Friday throughout the summer holidays!

Bring the whole family down to explore new crafts, get hands-on, and unleash your imagination with brilliant local artists.

Important Details

• Dates: Every Friday from 24th July to 28th August
• Time: 10am - 12noon
• Location: Moorland Community Centre
• Cost: FREE! Donations are greatly appreciated to help us keep these events running!
• Important Booking Info: Registration is highly advised as room numbers are limited. Extra space will be available on a first-come, first-served basis on the day!
• Aimed at families. Ideal for ages 5-10 but siblings welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Schedule of Activities

• Friday 24th July: Lego Print Making & Flash Fiction (This entire session is part of LAFFF!)
  • Lego Print Making with Laura: Join us for a playful session using LEGO bricks to press your own hand-printed patterns! See how shapes, colors, and repetition turn simple blocks into striking designs.
  • Flash Fiction with Jane: Get creative with words and weave a short, snappy story! You'll also have the exciting opportunity to enter your work into the Lincoln Book Festival Flash Fiction Competition.

• Friday 31st July: Collage Making with Mel
  • Raid the scrap drawer and get snipping! Cut, tear, and layer different papers, textures, and images to create your own vibrant, unique artwork.

• Friday 7th August: "Mini Me" Crafts with The Elbow Room
  • Celebrate what makes you unique! Create a fun, miniature 3D version of yourself using a mix of crafty materials.

• Friday 14th August: Junk Modelling with Heather
  • One person's trash is a family's treasure! Bring cardboard, lids, and clean recycling to life by engineering your own spectacular sculptures, vehicles, or robots.

• Friday 21st August: Textile Postcards with Harriet
  • Learn basic fabric collage and stitching techniques to design a beautiful, textured textile postcard you can keep or send to a friend.

• Friday 28th August: Tote Bags with Harriet
  • Design and decorate your very own fabric tote bag using colorful textile paints and stamps—perfect for carrying all your summer treasures home!
