Moorland Makers: September Guest - Chain Maille

For our September guest artist session at Moorland Makers, join Marc from Lynx Together for a Chain Maille workshop!

Discover the ancient art of chain maille in this hands-on beginner session. You will learn the fundamentals of metal weaving by mastering the classic European 4-in-1 pattern, the historic weave behind medieval chainmaille. Along the way, you'll get a feel for proper tool handling and ring technique while exploring the rich history behind the craft. Once the group gets the hang of the primary weave, we can explore advanced variations or move on to new patterns depending on pace. You will leave with a completed sampler piece and the confidence to keep creating on your own. All materials provided.
