🌤️ Summer Sessions in the Park

We're taking Roots outdoors for the summer and heading to Victoria Park. 

Expect all the usual good energy, fun competition, and welcoming atmosphere!

The exact meeting point will be shared closer to the date in the WhatsApp group chat, so keep an eye out for updates.

• Instructor-led warm up to get you moving
• A full breakdown of lacrosse basics (passing, catching, shooting)
• Beginner-friendly drills to build confidence
• Games to put your skills into action
• All equipment provided — but feel free to bring your own stick if you have one
• Picnic breaks to soak in the sun and chat so bring some nibbles :)

At Roots, we’re on a mission to build spaces for people of colour within lacrosse! 🥍

Trying a new sport can feel intimidating when you don’t see people who look like you, which is why these sessions are about more than just training — they’re about building confidence, meeting people, and enjoying the sport in an environment where you feel comfortable being yourself.

While Roots is centred around people of colour, anyone who respects and supports the mission is welcome too.

Our mixed gender social is open to all experience levels, so don’t worry if you’ve never picked up a stick before...we’ll get you game-ready in no time!!
