This course will guide you from zero knowledge to the main fundamental aspects involved in the Japanese Art of Kinbaku - Shibari

preparing you for your next steps towards mastery.

TUTOR
Tiger Nawa - Matteo the founder of the Rope Jam Studio will be 
delivering this weekend Course. 

Matteo's Shibari experience goes back over 20 years
and in rope handling a lot more since he grew as a racing sailor handling ropes since an early age. 

Matteo's style of ropes is based on a blend of traditional Kinbaku, inspired by teachers like , Osada Eickichi, Yukimura Haruki, Osada Steve, Kinoko, Gestalta, Gorgone, Ropu Nawa, Fred Hatt, Yagami Ren to mention a few.
Matteo's thirst for knowledge and expansion united to over 30 years of yoga Practice and teaching as well as 

 teaching style is "poetic and Intuitive" as described from some of his students, he provides concepts, techniques and tools for connection. 

Tiger Nawa Ryu is Matteo's Shibari school system.

Tiger Nawa's relationship to ropes goes back to childhood as a sailor, the passion turned into kink 20 years ago. Tiger Nawa, first approached ropes self taught in a creative personal way like many other Sensei and then deepened his knowledge studying the full spectrum of traditional Shibari, Kinbaku, Sukibaku: Ippon, Aibu and Seme Nawa. ITiger NAwa has created his own Ryu, drawing inspiration from  Osada Eikichi, Yukimura Ryu, Akechi Denki, Seyu Ito studying with international teachers: Osada Steve, Yagami Ren, Kazami - Ranki, Jyuibei, Tenma Haru, Kinoko, Gorgone, and Gestalta to name a few. 

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN 

DAY 1

- intro to Kinbaku History

-Type of ropes rope possible treatment: Western and Japanese view.

- Consent, Western and Japanese way

- The nerves Map

- Different body types

- Connecting to your partner: Saeza: massage, touch, listening

- The emotional spectrum of Shibari from "Aibu" strokes to "Seme" restrains

- Rope as an element of touch and gesture

- Elements: how to prepare your ropes for tying and opening the rope quickly

- Joining ropes: the Lark's head knot

- Single-column tie the three ways,

- Double-column tie

- Square knot - Hosun Musubi

- Slip Knots 

- Frictions: half hitch, no dome, x friction, L friction, moon friction

- Ippon Nawa play the single rope :

DAY 2 

- Frictions lab impro

- Hojo cuffs

- Free-form rope Impro lab

- Futu Momo leg tie 

-  Gunslinger, basket and half-basket tie

- Tk 2 ropes

- Tk 3 ropes

- demo of partial and full suspension

CAPACITY 
The Course is limited to an attendance of 12 Duos/couples, 24 people for maximum dedicated attention and learning.

There will be free Tea and coffee available for everyone. 
Bring some snacks and lunch if you want. The area is full of places where is possible to eat or shop.

DRESS CODE Please wear what makes you feel comfortable to practice ropes vanilla or kinky, all is welcome. 
Preferably adherent not so slippery clothing.

ROPES  Please bring your own ropes whenever possible
There are available communal ropes in case oyu don't have them and rope for sale.
