Our studio is proudly LGBTQIA+ and FLINTA-friendly, and we are committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming space for all bodies and identities.

Tuesdays are our dedicated beginners’ evenings, a space for those curious about Shibari and eager to learn the fundamentals in a friendly, supportive, loving and safe environment.

Each session begins with a guided introduction to basic ties to give you practical skills you can take away and build on.
On the evening we will cover:

• History and origin of Shibari

• Safety and consent

• Type of ropes

• Single column ties (three variations)

• Double column tie

• Lark’s head knot, and reef knot (hosun-musubi)

• Introduction to body manipulation and rope handling

• how to start a rope scene: Breaking the seiza

This is a full beginner workshop, designed to enable you to start your rope journey with ease and confidence, learning essential Shibari building blocks in a safe and accessible way.

What to Expect

• You’re welcome to join on your own, many people do. We provide space for pairing up, working in groups, or self-tying. Observing is also completely welcome.

• Each week follows the same structure but with space for variation depending on teacher's and the group’s vibe. You’ll learn something new each time, even if you’ve joined before.

• We provide communal rope for the class, and rope is also available for purchase if you’d like your own set.

Practical Info

• Schedule:
• Doors open: 6:45pm - tea and snacks
• workshop starts at 7 pm
• Doors close: 7:45

Important Notes
• All activities in the studio are guided by our Code of Conduct, which prioritises consent, respect, and inclusion.
• Sober space

If you’re new to rope, this is the perfect way to dip your toes in and begin your journey, whether you’re tying, being tied, or simply curious to learn more. This class provides you more than any other beginner class
