Greeting Shibari
Ki • Presence • First Contact in Rope
Every rope session begins long before the first knot.
Aisatsu Nawa, Greeting Shibari is the art of meeting and connecting through rope.
This 4-hour workshop is dedicated to the opening moment of a rope scene:
the greeting, the alignment, the tuning of Ki, breath, and intention between Bakushi (rigger) and Ukete (model).
This workshop explores how rope can become a ritual of arrival, and take your partner into Shibari subspace, a way to say “I see you, I am here, let’s begin.”
What Is Aisatsu Nawa?
Aisatsu means greeting.
In rope, it is the moment where connection is established, emotionally, energetically, and physically.
Aisatsu Nawa is about presence and listening.
Through slow, intentional rope placement, touch, and breath, the Bakushi sets the tone of the entire session, while the Ukete is invited into trust, receptivity, and embodied awareness.
