Rope Jam Studio is a space to learn and explore the art of Kinbaku–Shibari, make new friends, meet new rope partners, and share unconditional rope love with a growing community of caring humans.

Monthly Rope Jam (POLY + ENM Edition) — PLAY JAM

This monthly Rope Jam is dedicated to London’s Poly & ENM community who love the art of Kinbaku / Shibari.

Important: This is a play-focused Rope Jam with partner rotation and swap culture.
If you are monogamous or not interested in forging Poly/ENM connections, please join one of our other weekly Rope Jam events instead.

PLAY JAM vibe: Improvisational ropes, connection, and playful exploration with a strong emphasis on consent, safety, and kindness.

Who it’s for

• Beginners and experienced rope lovers are welcome.
• You can come solo or with a friend(s).
• Please arrive open to being paired and rotating with other participants.
• Couples are welcome only if you’re open to playing with others.

If you do not want to change partners, please attend our other events where staying as a couple is requested and/or allowed.

Program (Play + Skills Lab)

• Single & double-column tie
• Frictions, forward tension, counter tension
• Half hitch, No Dome, full Dome
• Friction free-form improv lab
• Ipponawa / Ichinawa 1-rope free-form play
• Blindfolded Ichinawa 1-rope free-form play
• Speed rope: swap partner every 15 minutes

Ropes needed

1–3 ropes (8–10m each)
We do have studio ropes available, but we strongly recommend bringing your own if you can.

Everyone is welcome at Rope Jam Studio.
This is an LGBTQI / FLINTA / QUEER / all-identities friendly event.

• Play safe (know your skills, communicate, and ask when unsure)

Dress code

Wear what makes you feel comfortable for rope practice, vanilla or kinky, all welcome.

Capacity

Capacity is limited to 24 places to guarantee space and comfort for everyone.
Please buy your ticket in advance, once sold out, there’s no entry.

• Booking fees are non-refundable.
