SHIBARI FLINTA ROPE SALON /// KINBAKU OPEN STUDIO JAM
A dedicated space for FLINTA people to meet, explore and connect through rope. 🪢✨
Every last Monday of the month - 28 September 2026 | 7:00–11:00PM
Our FLINTA Rope Salon takes the relaxed, open-format spirit of the Ropejam Open Studio and dedicates the evening to women, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, trans and agender people.
Come to tie, be tied, switch, self-tie, practise, experiment, watch, talk, connect, or simply spend time in the space.
No class. No performances. No pressure to play.
Just an evening to explore Kinbaku together in an open, warm and welcoming environment.
🪢 FLINTA + ROPE
Rope can be technical, creative, intimate, playful, sensual, challenging, meditative—or something entirely your own.
It does not need to be sexual or romantic, and you do not need to perform any particular identity, role or way of relating.
This is a space to take your time, follow your curiosity and explore what rope means to you.
Come solo, with friends, with a partner, lovers or your polycule.
You do not need to arrive with a rope partner. We cannot guarantee that you will find someone to tie with, but we create a social environment where conversations and connections can happen naturally.
Whether you have been tying for years, you are developing your practice, or you are simply curious about rope, you are welcome.
Tie. Be tied. Self-tie. Switch. Explore what happens in between.
🌈 WHO IS THIS SPACE FOR?
This edition of Rope Salon is reserved for people who identify within the FLINTA community:
Women • Lesbians • Intersex • Non-binary • Trans • Agender
All bodies, sexualities, expressions and levels of rope experience are welcome within this space.
You do not need to explain or prove your identity to belong in the room.
Ropejam is proudly LGBTQI+, POC, trans and non-binary inclusive. We believe different bodies, identities, sexualities and ways of relating deserve to be seen, respected and celebrated.
Kindness, respect, enthusiastic consent and care form the ground we tie on.
🕸️ THE ROPE SALON
The studio is yours to explore.
We have:
- 🪢 8 suspension points
- Hashira, our freestanding metal post
- Soft cushioned floor
- Ambient lighting and music
- Communal ropes if you do not have your own
- Space for floor work, suspension and self-tying
- Tea and space to slow down, talk and connect
This is an Open Studio Jam, not a taught workshop.
Bring something you are practising. Explore an idea. Exchange knowledge. Watch other people tie. Ask questions. Spend an hour perfecting one technique or spend the evening improvising.
Your rope. Your practice. Your pace.
🥖 THE ROPEJAM TABLE
Ropejam has always been about more than rope.
Our signature Turkish focaccia with babaganoush will be waiting on the sharing table, alongside tea and whatever else appears during the evening.
Feel free to bring food or snacks to share with the room.
We love to share. ☕🥖🖤
✨ COME AS YOU ARE
There is no dress code and nothing you need to perform.
Bring your rope if you have some. Bring your curiosity. Bring yourself.
We want to see YOU.
Unconditional Rope Love 🖤🪢
🧶 WHAT TO BRING
Bring your own rope if you have it.
If you do not yet own rope, we have communal ropes available at the studio.
If you intend to practise suspension, please bring appropriate safety equipment and only practise within your existing knowledge and competence.
