Roseland Music Society is a charity which supports top quality professional live music concerts and educational activities in our community spaces on the Roseland Peninsula in Cornwall. We have been established for over 25 years and offer a series of (at least) 7 concerts from September through to June each year.

We are supported by the subscribing members who are music lovers, residents or visiting audiences who love the Roseland - we urge you to join our subscribing members (not just for the discounts but to join the vision of music at the core of community and our ambition to do more in our community) even if you are only a seasonal visitor. All of the public are welcome to our concerts which normally take place once a month on a Friday evening. Tickets can be booked in advance online (members do get some booking priority!) 

The society has an astonishing array and variety of professional musicians from all over the world who have played and entertained us. For us, music is a social experience of great beauty - the emphasis is on classical music, but folk, jazz, world, percussion, new compositions, Cornish music, early music, music of other cultures,   choral, male voice choirs are all encompassed in our programming. 

The society is also very active in providing music education opportunities with particular emphasis on our Roseland Youth Music programme - in the past year for example, we have organised conservatoire students and composers to work in the Roseland Academy School and the primary schools on the Peninsula, to engage in participatory musical composition and activity. We have hosted a new "Carricknath" Clarinet Concerto in the recent season. 

We work closely with a number of partners for example Making Music, Cornwall National Music Archive, ASONE, Cornwall Music Services Trust to "make stuff happen" in music and provide opportunities for music experience for everyone on this somewhat remote community.
