Join us for a very practical, interactive and fun two-day training session on teaching Essential Piano Technique! 

Day 1 (Saturday 24th May, 10.30am - 5pm): Essential Piano Technique Primer A and B and Level 1 (this will be similar to the one-day in-person workshop held in 2024)

Day 2: (Sunday 25th May, 10.30am - 5pm): Essential Piano Technique Levels 2 and 3 (Levels 2 and 3 will be published in Spring 2025)

• Explore in detail all of the techniques from the books
• Get feedback from Penelope on your own teaching methods
• Watch other teachers applying the techniques
• Network with other teachers and discuss many aspects of teaching
• Ask questions about the techniques and how to apply them to different students
• Play some of the duet pieces and receive feedback

Cost: 

In Person: One day £50, both days £90. 

Online: One day £45, both days £80

You will need your own copies of the books we are covering. They will not be available for sale on the day, so if you don't already own the books, please purchase ahead of the workshops. Details of where to buy are here

Participants will receive a certificate of attendance. This course will count towards Certification in the Roskell Method (if required) - more information on this here

For In-Person Tickets: 

Teas, coffees and biscuits will be provided. Please bring your own packed lunch. 

There will be a drinks reception after the Saturday workshop finishes with a glass of wine or soft drink provided. There will then be the option to join us for a meal at a local restaurant (price covered by yourself).

Penelope's Studio is a 15 minute walk from Manor House Tube Station on the Piccadilly Line, or a 25 minute walk from Finsbury Park tube and train station.

For Online Tickets: 

The workshops will be streamed on Zoom. We strongly advise having a piano available to experiment during the workshops. The main presentation sessions will be recorded, but you will get the most out of the day by attending live.  You will be placed with the same group in breakout rooms during the day when you will have an opportunity to discuss and experiment further with the techniques. 

Refund Policy:

In-Person tickets: If you are unable to attend in person, your ticket will change to an online ticket. The sessions will be recorded. Please let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to make it in person, so that your place can be offered to someone else. 

No refunds available for online tickets as the sessions will be recorded if you are unable to attend live.
