Storage of Historic Textiles
Have you ever wondered how to best store a large quilt? Or if you can hang knit garments to save space? Or how many objects you can pack in a single box? Attend this online talk to learn these answers with professional textile conservator Isabella Rossi of Rossi Conservation.
Isabella will cover all aspects of the safe storage of textiles from rolling to hanging to flat packing. She will explain how to make tissue supports, balance resource use, and how to choose the best storage solution for each object. Afterwards, there will be a brief Q&A session to address more specific concerns. The talk will be recorded and sent to participants afterwards.

This talk is aimed at members of the cultural heritage sector, emerging professionals, collectors of historic textiles, or anyone else who is interested in the preservation of historic objects. No previous knowledge of art conservation or historic textiles is necessary.
