"It was the most engaging training I have attended remotely. Paced well with an attentive and reactive speaker." Workshop Attendee 2024
Led by Ross McIntosh, a highly experience business psychologist, coach and ACT trainer, this interactive course is based on a type of behavioural science called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). He's delivered ACT based training in the workplace to over 2,000 professionals across all sectors. Ross is usually commissioned to deliver this training at the request of organisations or team leaders. This is the first time Ross has offered the live training to the public. It's a training programme he co-designed with Dr Paul Flaxman at City St George's, University of London.
In his own words - "ACT has transformed the way I live my life. It's helped me identify and take action towards what matters to me. I also have skills to liberate myself from the unhelpful influence of my anxious mind. It's helped me to be the person I'd like to be far more often, in every area of my life." Ross McIntosh

🧠 What Is ACT?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is an evidence-based approach that helps people develop psychological flexibility — the ability to be present, open, and take action guided by their personal values. ACT was originally developed for use in clinical situations and has since been shown to be applicable for serious mental ill-health, elite athletic performance and workplace effectiveness.
It teaches powerful, practical skills to manage difficult thoughts and emotions without being dominated by them. Dr Paul Flaxman has been designing and researching ACT based interventions in the workplace for over 20 years. In the last 10 years Ross has worked alongside Paul in an ongoing research/practitioner partnership. Ross has also incorporated ACT into his Leadership Coaching as well as Leadership Development.
🔬 Backed by research: Over 1000 Randomised Controlled Trials (RCTs) support the effectiveness of ACT across clinical and non-clinical settings.
