Be Bold. Escape the city in this Audax-inspired ride in the Pyrenees. Circle the undulating foothills of the Pyrenees range. Arrive back at Summerfield Winery at Moonambel with an appetite for the Rotary BBQ and Summerfield’s house-made woodfired pizzas, coffee and cake.
We can’t wait to see you!
Ride distances are 33 km, 53 km and 100 km.
There are also prizes to be won.
The ride is a Rotary initiative.
Bookings are essential for pizza and sit down meals.

Where is the event located?
Summerfield Winery is located at 5967 Stawell-Avoca Road, Moonambel, Victoria, 3478.
It is 21 km from Avoca. Rides can go through Moonambel and Landsborough.
Is this a supported event?
Yes, there is a sag wagon and First Aiders will be in attendance.
Where are the drinks stops?
33 km
Turnaround at Landsborough turnoff - water stop. This turnaround is at the intersection of Barkly Rd and Stawell-Avoca Rd just short of the Landsborough turnoff.

Is food available to buy at Summerfield winery?
Oh Yes! Summerfield Winery specialises in woodfired pizzas, stonebaked artisan sourdough bread, and has delicious gourmet deli coffee and cake available all day. Is there an age limit to enter the event?
Yes, children 16 years or younger must be accompanied by a cycling adult.
What are my transport options to get to the event?
There is no public transport to the event. Moonambel and Summerfield winery are 210k north-west of Melbourne and 100k west of Bendigo.
What are my parking options?
There is parking at the winery. Riders will be directed to the car parking area upon arrival.

What number can I use on the day if I need first aid?
St John’s Ambulance will be available on the day. Their phone number will be displayed on the wristband riders are given on the day.
Is my registration ticket transferable?
Yes, the ticket is transferable.
Do I need to register when I arrive on the day?
Yes, please register at the administration marquee on arrival and prior to the 9am start to collect your wrist band. Riders without wristbands will not be allowed to start the ride. It can be busy during the start period.
Do I need to report on my return?
Yes, as a duty of care we would like to know that everyone has arrived back safely. Please report back to administration when you have completed your ride. Failure to advise that you have returned will invoke a phone call to your designated contact.
What is the refund policy?
Attendees are required to self-certify (negative COVID test). If you are unwell or the event is cancelled due to lockdown apply for a refund. In the event of cancellation due to weather conditions or unforeseen events, an alternative date will be found. If we have the numbers the event will be postponed to that date. A refund will be given if this is unsuitable.
Can I donate to the event?
This is a community fundraiser. Donations are gratefully received.
Do I need to make a waiver?
Yes, it is a condition of entry that all cyclists read the General Release and Indemnity, which is below. Completion of entry presumes acceptance of cycling risks.
General Release and Indemnity

Pyrenees Magic Tri-Distance Bike Ride (Event)
- I am aware and acknowledge that the Pyrenees Magic Tri-Distance Bike Ride involves inherent risks, including the risk of injury to life or death and damage to property and in undertaking such activities, I do so at my own risk.
- I am also aware that it is a condition of participation in the Pyrenees Magic Tri-Distance Bike Ride (“Event”) that Rotary, its officers and employees, agents and volunteers are released by me from all liability howsoever arising from injury or damage to both property and person howsoever caused (whether fatal or otherwise) arising out of my participation in the Event whether or not such injury or damage is due to any negligent act, breach of duty, default and/or omission on the part of Rotary, its officers and employees, agents or volunteers.
- I indemnify Rotary, its officers and employees, agents and volunteers against all loss, damage and expenses (including legal costs on a solicitor and own client basis) arising out of or in connection with any claims, actions, proceedings or demands of any kind arising directly or indirectly as a consequence of my participation in the Event.
- I acknowledge and agree that my participation in the Event is as a consequence of my own free will and desire and that I have read and understood the above warning, release and indemnity.
- I warrant that I am 18 years of age or older and am lawfully able to enter into this above release and indemnity or, in the event that I am a minor, I have the permission of my legal guardian to participate in the Event and that my legal guardian has agreed to adhere to the terms of the indemnity below.

A parent or legal guardian will be required to provide their name and address along with the participants name during the ticketing process on the understanding that the agree to the following
As the legal guardian of an under 18 years of age participant, I consent to him/her participating in the Event.
